Karnataka Polls: Survey Says Congress Will Defeat BJP!

All eyes are now on Karnataka as the southern state is going to face the much-awaited general elections. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and opposition Congress party are putting in their best efforts to woo the voters in the state. In just two weeks, the general elections will be conducted.

Ahead of this, a survey report is giving sleepless nights to BJP. The survey predicted that the Congress would win the elections and BJP will lose the polls. Congress would win between 106-116 Assembly seats and the Bharatiya Janata Party will be winning 79 to 89 seats. The JDS party will be restricted to 24-34 seats.

The survey also said that the upcoming elections will reverse the 2018 results. The areas in which Congress showed power in previous elections will be won by the BJP and the Congress party will win the strong bastions of the BJP like Kittur Karnataka, and Kalyana Karnataka.

This is a big blow to the BJP party. Karnataka is the only southern state in which it is in power. Moreover many say that the Karnataka elections are the semi-finals to the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and if the Congress party wins the elections then the party can have hopes for its revival.

Looking at the reasons for the possible defeat of the BJP, the saffron party is facing serious allegations of corruption and the contractors should give 40 percent commission to do any work. The opposition parties aggressively targeted the BJP on this.

On top of this, the BJP recently announced that it has scrapped the reservations of Muslims, and the same reservation will be given to Lingayats and Vokkaligas. The Minorities are not happy with this and are against the BJP.

The survey results said that the Congress party will get 40 percent of the vote share and will win 106-116 seats. However, the BJP will get just 33.9 vote percent and the saffron party will win 79-89 seats. On the other hand, the JDS party will be restricted to 24-34 seats with just 18.8 percent of votes. The TV9-CVoter pre-poll survey said that Congress will come to power.
