At the time when rest of the Country was celebrating 71st Independence Day, Restrictions have been imposed at the Kashmir Valley to prevent any kind of threats from the Separatists.
A Kashmiri Pandit Woman raised slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram' amidst tension and bandh in the valley. She continued to raise the chants though few police personnel surrounded her. In fact, The Lady asked the passersby to join her saying they too belong to India. 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai...Vande Mataram! Aap Bhi Bharat Ke Hain. Bharat Mata Ki Jai Bolna Humara Farz Hain. Bharat Mata Ki Jai!,' she chanted.
Indian Cricketer Suresh Raina lauded the Woman who expressed patriotism. 'She is a brave heart! Salute! #Peace #Love #Safety,' he wrote.
Notably, Pandits are the only Hindu Community that still exists in Kashmir but they are a minority here.
