BJP Chief Amit Shah came full guns blazing at TRS Government during Telangana Liberation Day celebrations. Describing TRS Government as most corrupt, He claimed BJP would form Government in 2019 and accused KCR of fearing MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi to celebrate Liberation Day.
Nizamabad MP K Kavitha came down heavily on BJP for using religion to expand its roots. She made it clear BJP can't form the government in Telangana any time soon. 'The attitude of BJP Leaders hasn't changed even during Telangana movement. This is just a merger day, not liberation day. What would we gain for celebrating Liberation Day? BJP is only focusing on merger of Hyderabad in 1948. What about the movements in 1952, 1969 and 2001? Why didn't TDP celebrate Liberation Day when it was in power?,' she questioned.
On the other hand, Home Minister Nayini Narasimha Reddy confessed to have demanded for celebrating September 17th as Liberation Day during Telangana Movement. He, however, says TRS never promised to celebrate Liberation Day even if comes to power.
