KCR aims Rs 1.60 lakh crore by 2019!
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Dec 2015 5:22 AM GMTThere was a time when People of United AP used to get amazed knowing the state budget has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore mark during YSR's tenure. No one have ever anticipated that the budget of Telangana state alone will surpass Rs 1.50 lakh crore so early.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao hints Telangana state budget would be anywhere around Rs 1.60 lakh crore by 2019. He stated Telangana was a developed state even before merger of AP and that's the reason visionaries like KV Reddy (former Deputy CM) have opposed it.
Informing that Telangana has got a growth rate of 12 percent, KCR declared a budget of Rs 1.6 lakh crore is achievable by 2019 if the same growth rate sustains. He expresses confidence that Telangana will be a power surplus state soon as Rs 90,000 crore is being invested on power sector in the next four years and it will have 25,000 MW of power by 2019.
