KCR announced Urdu as second official language in TS

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao informed the Assembly that the State Government was contemplating to implement three language formula with Urdu as the second official language in Telangana State.
There was a long pending demand from MIM leaders to make Urdu as state official language.Replying to a question raised by MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi and others, the Chief Minister said that in nine districts of Telangana - Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy, Medak, Adilabad, Mahaboobnagar, Warangal, Karimnagar and Nalgonda, Urdu has been declared as the second official language and it is being implemented.
From many days (MIM) leader Asaduddin Owaisi demanding TS government to make Urdu as the official language of the newly formed Telangana state. The local MP said Urdu should be made the first official language of Telangana along with Telugu while it should remain as the second official language of the rest of the bifurcated state of Andhra Pradesh.
