KCR asking proof of Surgical Strike doesn't go well with BJP CM
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 Feb 2022 10:55 AM GMTAs a response to the terror attack planned by Pakistan terrorists on the Indian Army base in Kashmirâs URI in 2016, the Indian Army had carried out a surgical strike and destroyed a few terror camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. With 18 Indian soldiers losing their lives in the attack, the Indian Army hit back with the surgical strike.
But the surgical strike always gets stuck in the political controversy as the opposition parties and other parties always ask for proof from the Union government. So far, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, and others have demanded proof. Another Chief Minister joined the list now.
Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao aka KCR who has been locking horns with the Union government for the past few days has also sought proof for the Surgical strikes.
Speaking to the media from Pragathi Bhavan on Sunday, KCR asked what's the big issue in asking for proof for the surgical strike as there is nothing wrong. He even supported the leaders, who are asking for surgical strike proof.
Giving a reason for asking for proof, CM KCR said that there are a few doubts about the surgical strike and that's why everyone is asking for proof and it's the responsibility of the Union government to share the proof as we are in a democracy.
The Chief Minister expressed his concerns over the Bharatiya Janata Party getting the credit for the surgical strike as the Indian Army should be credited for the sacrifices they made for the same. On the occasion, KCR also accused the Union government of using Surgical strikes for political gains.
Standing in solidarity with leaders demanding proof for the Surgical strike, KCR said that it is not wrong to ask for proof. Today only a few members are asking for proof and slowly the entire nation will ask for proof and the government should show the proof, he said.
Hours after KCR asked for proof of a Surgical strike, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma hit back at him and asked why he wanted to insult the Indian Armed forces. In a tweet, the Chief Minister had shared a video that shows the Indian Army carried out the attack.
âDear KCR Garu, here is the videographic evidence of the surgical strike by our brave Army. In spite of this, you question the valour of our Armed forces and insult them. Why are you so desperate to attack and malign our Army? New India will not tolerate insults against our Army,â the Chief Minister said in a tweet.
