KCR Dismissed 48,000 RTC Employees
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 Oct 2019 6:15 AM GMTCalling the strike of TSRTC Employees during the Dussehra Season as an unpardonable crime, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao took a shocking decision after the protesters refused to join the duty until their 26 demands were accepted. Around 48,000 TSRTC Employees were sacked by the State Government after the end of deadline at 6 pm on Saturday.
KCR questioned the moral right to go strike when RTC kept incurring a loss of Rs 1,200 crore per year and debt burden growing up to Rs 5,000 crore. He ruled out any possibility of merging RTC with the State Government. 'This Government won't succumb to the blackmail tactics of RTC Employees,' KCR made it clear.
Telangana Government decided to hire 2,500 private buses to coup with the huge demand during the festive season. Over 4,000 buses were given state carriage permission to meet the demand.
After the shocking decision taken by Telangana Government, Only 1,200 Employees who joined duty on Saturday will continue in the TSRTC. KCR constituted a panel to recruit new Employees at the earliest. All the new Employees will have to agree that they won't join any Unions before accepting the job.
RTC Employees who were protesting declared that they won't be scared of such tactics of the State Governments. They pledged to intensify the protest to make Government withdraw its decision and accept their demands.
