KCR extends his wishes to Telangana people on the occasion of Bonalu

In a Twitter thread, Telangana Chief Minister's Office said that CM had conveyed the wishes to the people on the occasion of Bonalu, which starts with presenting bonam to Golkonda Jagadambika Goddess. CM KCR called Banalu festival a symbol of Ganga Jamuna Tehzeeb
Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao said Telangana has turned Annapurna that feeds the country with the blessings of the Goddess. The CM prayed to the goddess to show the blessings on the people in the state to offer a happy life to them.
Bonalu festival widely celebrated in Telangana falls in the month of Ashadam. The festival is celebrated as a thanksgiving to the goddess stars on July 11, tomorrow, and ends on August 8. The festival is celebrated for four weeks.
Women offer rice that is cooked with milk and jaggery in an earth port decorated with neem leaves. The pot is carried by the women on their heads and then offered to the goddess. Bangles were also offered to the deity.
The ritual of celebrating bonalu became more popular in Telangana after the bifurcation of the state. The festival is celebrated at one goddess temple every Sunday for four weeks.
