KCR's Formula: Hate Chandrababu in 2018, love Chandrababu in 2023

In 2018, the TDP was the reason why the TRS, now BRS, had won. Wily KCR showed the red rag of Chandrababu naidu and his TDP to the emotional people of Telangana and turned the masses in the TRS favour. TDP's alliance with the Congress has not just ensured the TRS win, but also caused the doom of the Congress Party.
But the same TDP now appears to be a savior for the TRS, albeit in a different manner. This time around, BRS boss K Chandrasekhar Rao wants to join hands with the Telugu Desam Party in Telangana. The reason? Chandrababu Naidu would be a surefire guarantee for him in getting the Andhra settlers vote in the 2023 elections.
KCR realizes that Chandrababu still has a sway over the settler votes. He also has some hold on the BC voters. If the BRS joins hands with the TDP, it will get these votes. Hence, KCR is said to be wooing the TDP big time. He is said to have sought the help of former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy in getting the TDP on his side.
Sources say that Kumaraswamy has already opened likes of communication with Chandrababu Naidu. As of now, Chandrababu Naidu seems uninterested in having an alliance with the BRS as it could affect his chances in AP elections. The YSRCP could use this alliance to project Chandrababu as Andhra's enemy. So, Chandrababu is treading cautiously.
