KCR Gets A Big Relief With SC's Decision

The Telangana Secretariat issue which went through many twists and turns took another interesting turn with Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy knocking the doors of the Supreme Court challenging the verdict given by the High Court over demolishing the old secretariat.
However, the apex court dismissed Jeevan Reddy's petition over the demolition of the old Secretariat, which can be cited as a major relief to the CM K. Chandrashekar Rao led government.
The constitutional bench which comprises of justice Ashok Bhushan, Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Justice MR Shah said they cannot issue stay orders in this regard and called the construction of new secretariat as prerogative.
Looking into the timeline of the issue, the demolition works were started on the 7th of July, following the state High Court giving its nod to demolish the old secretariat and construct a new one.
