KCR Hardly Visited Secretariat In Last 4 Yrs, Its A Record

A secretariat is a place where administrative decisions are taken by the top officials in the State. Chief secretary and all departmental heads operate from the secretariat. CM and his cabinet colleagues regularly visit the secretariat to interact with the higher officials in the government and they hold review meetings on regular basis.
CM even holds cabinet meetings to take crucial decisions regarding administration. As state's top-level administration functions from a single place, common people also visit secretariat to report to report their grievances. This is a general introduction about a secretariat but Telangana CM KCR rule is completely different.
A popular news daily has reported that KCR has visited secretariat for less than 25 times in the last four years after he took oath as Telangana CM. Even those visits were during the early days of his CM tenure. As no other CM in the country has visited their secretariat comparable to KCR, it has become a new record in the country now.
One might wonder why he is not visiting the secretariat. It is known that KCR has constructed Pragathi Bhavan adjacent to the CM's camp office in Begumpet two years ago. It is a huge residential cum official complex. Ever since he started using Pragathi Bhavan he made it a like a de facto secretariat. Senior officials in the government are visiting Pragathi Bhavan, cabinet meetings are also held at the same place. On the whole, the secretariat has lost its sheen in KCR rule.
