KCR receives accolades from Niti Aayog

Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao scored more points than any other Chief Minister in the country during the Niti Aayog's Governing Council Meeting. Telangana is the first state to approve Goods & Services Tax (GST). Hence, Centre asked other states to take inspiration from Telangana.
CM KCR was lauded for the implementation of 'free fertilizers' scheme to Farmers. An opinion that providing fertilizers to farmers free of cost is more effective than Farm Loan Waiver. Niti Aayog Member Ramesh Chand appreciated Telangana Government for this historic move which lowers the burden on the farmers.
Niti Aayog recommends Centre and States to focus on decreasing the investment cost of the farmers for better results. Subsidy on farm-related equipment and effective use of Technology were two other aspects. 'Farm Loan Waiver is working against those who pay loans sincerely. Whereas, Loan defaulters are getting benefitted from it. Better to focus on increasing the standards of farmers,' says Niti Aayog.
