Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) founder, Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao held a press meet on Sunday night. The press meet came days after the ruling party suffered a defeat in the Huzurabad region, the stronghold of the TRS party. Held at the Pragathi Bhavan, the press meet showcased the Chief Minister in a fierce mode.

The Telangana Chief Minister came down severely on the union government. While talking about various issues, he targeted the union government. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the Centre over the paddy procurement. KCR alleged that the Centre is doing a great injustice to the state on paddy. The responsibility of buying paddy lies with the Centre but the government is going against it, he said.

Giving more details on how he made efforts to see that the paddy is procured, the Telangana Chief Minister said, he met the concerned Union Minister on procuring paddy but there was no response from the Minister. The Centre is not willing to procure paddy from Telangana, KCR said.

KCR went all guns firing at the Centre as he blasted the BJP. He breathed fire on BJP for having two stands on paddy procurement. Central BJP says something and the Telangana BJP says something else. Both are contradictory. All the BJP knows is to invoke communism, he maintained.

Blasting T-BJP chief Bandi Sanjay for encouraging the farmers to go for the paddy cultivation, KCR said, Centre says no to paddy but the Telangana BJP urges farmers to grow paddy. The party is doing this for their benefit and political gains. We are trying to save the farmers but BJP is pushing them into trouble, KCR said.

KCR dared Bandi Sanjay to get a letter from the union government that it would procure the paddy from Telangana and then he will encourage the farmers to go for paddy crops so that the farmers will not have any issues. I will not compromise on the state's interests.

Using the soaring fuel prices, KCR breathed fire on the Centre and alleged that the government had increased the fuel prices after coming to power. Despite the crude oil prices being less, the government is increasing the prices. I demand the Centre remove the cess on fuel, he added.
