Days before Karnataka Assembly Polls, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao landed in Bengaluru to convince JD (S) to be part of Federal Front. He even gave a call from Old Hyderabad region in Karnataka that Telugus should vote for JD (S). He, however, wasn't in position to claim any credit after the elections as BJP bagged most of the seats here and JD (S) seats/vote share dropped when compared to the 2013 Assembly Polls.
And now, JD (S) formed Government with Congress much to the embarrassment of KCR. TRS Supremo doesn't want Congress to strengthen as this National Party is the main opposition in Telangana. Telangana BJP willn't be able to emerge as a strong force in the state anytime soon.
This is why KCR is reluctant to claim credit for the rise of JD (S) after Karnataka Elections. He even went to the swearing-in ceremony of HD Kumaraswamy separately to maintain as much low profile as possible.
