Is KCR behind NDA's Presidential Choice?

Did Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao play a key role in the selection of Bihar Governor Ramnath Kovind as the Presidential Candidate of NDA? Has Prime Minister Narendra Modi favoured the choice of TRS Supremo? Recent developments gives an indication that there could be some connection.
Telangana CMO & Minister KTR informed that PM Narendra Modi telephoned KCR seeking his support for NDA's Presidential Candidate. It's been mentioned that TRS Chief responded positive to the appeal made by PM. A meeting was conveyed with Council of Ministers to express happiness over picking up a Dalit Leader as Presidential Candidate.
Although TRS is keen to support NDA in Presidential Polls, KCR waited for the official announcement of candidate's name to make it official. It's because of strong leaders like KCR, NDA preferred a dalit man as President and few very parties out dare to oppose NDA's choice.
