KCR's Kaleshwaram record

There is one record that KCR has broken as the Chief Minister. He has visited Kaleshwaram more times than any other chief minister in the past. He has toured Kaleshwaram for a record eight times. This has become a hot topic for discussion among the political elite.
Normally, CMs visit a project only for the launch of the works and the former inauguration of the project. However, KCR broke this norm and visited the temple eight times and held review meetings at the project site. This is quite unusual. This is more so for KCR, who normally prefers to operate either from his farm house or from the Pragathi Bhavan.
Compare thi s with other CMs. When NTR was the CM, he visited Kaleshwaram during the floods, but chose not to visit the temple. On another occasion, he visited Mahamuttaram to meet a relative, but did not pay a visit to the temple. YSR visited the temple in 2008 and offered prayers at the temple. PV was MLA of Manthani, under which Kaleshwaram falls, but never visited the temple as a CM. CMs like Vijayabhaskar Reddy and Rosaiah did not visit Kaleshwaram. Unlike all these CMs, KCR visited the temple as many as eight times.
