The exercise conducted by the Telangana Government for the delimitation of Districts neared end. During the recent Cabinet Meeting, Decision was taken to add 17 new districts altogether. A draft notification confirming the move would be out on Monday (August 22nd).
Telangana Government will seek suggestions from People for a month after issuing the draft notification. A full-page advertisement in newspapers listing the proposed districts, mandals and revenue divisions would be released. Based on the feedback received, Changes will be made before completion of the delimitation process.
KCR reiterates that New Districts will be carved out for public and administrative convenience. He expressed confidence that 99.9 percent of public will accept the proposed districts. He also told suggestions given during All-Party Meeting will be taken into confidence.
