KCR offered details of Gold to Modi
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Dec 2016 9:20 AM GMTTelangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao threatened to launch an agitation against Centre if restrictions were imposed on gold jewelry in the possession of women. 'Gold Ornaments are part of our tradition. It can't be treated as unaccounted income. Its a sentiment issue. When I brought the same issue to the notice of Prime Minister, He assured me there is no such proposal,' he asserted.
Responding on the buzz that Centre will even seize mangalsutras and bangles from women if it falls under unaccounted gold, KCR warned he won't hesitate to launch a movement as intense as that of Telangana Movement if Centre takes such a step.
When KCR met him in New Delhi, Modi enquired TRS Supremo about the quantity of gold in his possession. Then, KCR showed the ring to his finger and told him he have two more such rings. CM informed him that his wife have 50-60 tolas of gold and even his daughter-in-law have gold ornaments.
KCR predicts only two types of transactions (GST & Bank Transaction Tax) will be implemented after achieving cashless economy in the country.
