Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao invited the wrath of RTC Employees with the way he dealt with the strike call. Chief Minister making comments such as 'Self Dismiss', 'Rs 50,000 Wages for RTC Employees, yet they have become too greedy', 'Won't Tolerate Blackmail Tactics' and using police force to crush the movement hasn't gone down well with the agitators.
The other day, A Driver of Khammam Depot attempted suicide by pouring kerosene on himself. There were incidents of Employees trying to kill themselves in the other parts of the state as well. RTC Employees have been destroying the buses out of frustration. These scenes remind everyone about the situation prevalent during the Telangana statehood agitation.
RTC Employees and Opposition Parties intensified the protest after the suicide attempt in Khammam. TRS Leaders have been refraining from reaching out to the RTC Employees due to the stand taken by KCR over holding talks with Unions. Did KCR messed up big time by daring to sack over 48,000 employees?
TRS Government took the decision to extend the Dussehra Holidays until October 19th because of RTC Employees strike. KCR is in search of alternatives for bringing the RTC Buses on to the roads. Will CM find a solution or succumb to the pressure?
