KCR's Mantra to curb Corruption

No one would deny the fact that large number of illegal encroachments and structures were a result of nexus between the Officials, Land Encroachers and Builders. Chief Minister KCR himself commented during the recent floods in Hyderabad about the rampant corruption in GHMC and HDMA.
TRS Government has decided not to tolerate such a practice anymore. Municipal Corporation Act and Municipalities Act will be amended to include stringent laws for action against corrupt. An ordinance in this regard is going to be issued and the amendments would be approved in the budget session.
So far, The law doesn't allow transfer of a Town Planning Officer to other municipality even if he faced corruption charges. As per the draft of the unified services rules submitted to the cabinet committee, Staff of one civic body could be transferred to the other municipality anywhere in the state. At least, the fear of transfer to the under-developed areas among employees could curb the corruption.
