Telangana to have 19 Districts soon

Even since he took charge as Chief Minister, KCR has been making some remarkable changes to leave a mark of his own on every aspect. His next move is to create more districts in the state with population of around 3.5 crore.
Telangana Government is seriously considering the proposal to increase the count of districts in the country's youngest state. Already, Instructions were given to the Revenue Department to submit a report on the number of new districts that could be created based on the current population.
In June last year, Chief Minister KCR made a statement saying 14 new districts will come up in Telangana state.
Sources say, Telangana to get at least 9 new districts taking the total count to 19. Creation of new districts will begin from KCR's home district Medak itself paving way for Siddipet district.
