KCR pays Four Times more than Market Value

Telangana State Tribes Advisory Council headed by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has given approval for Pranahita-Chevella irrigation project.
To everyone's surprise, KCR promised a compensation four times the market value to the tribal people who will be losing their lands because of the irrigation project. This means Tribals will be receiving Rs 4 lakhs for one acre land which is valued at Rs 1 lakh.
Telangana State Tribes Advisory Council meeting was held on Saturday. Irrigation minister Harish Rao, TRS MPs Sitaram Naik & G Nagesh, 12 MLAs belong to TRS, Congress, YSR Congress, CPI and CPM have attended the meeting.
Due to Pranahita-Chevella irrigation project, 9 Villages will submerge and 789 tribal families will be affected. The project requires 9 reservoirs to be integrated.
