KCR's Promise...Rs 5000 Crore Burden!

Financial Troubles of Telangana State only keeps increasing with the poll sops announced by the TRS Government during the Assembly Polls. KCR assured increase of pension for beneficiaries in nine categories if TRS retains power. While Physically Challenged were promised a hike of Rs 3,016 from Rs 1,500, Beneficiaries in other categories were assured increase up to Rs 2,016 from Rs 1,000.
Telangana CM decided to implement the poll promise from June 1st. From July 1st, Beneficiaries will be received the pension according to the hike.
Senior Citizens, Widows, Handicapped, Handloom Weavers, HIV Infected People, Bedi Workers, Single Women and Filaria Victims will get benefitted with the Pension hike in Telangana.
Until now, Telangana Government used to spend Rs 5,010 crore per year for pensions. From this year, It's going to double the burden on state exchequer and the total expenditure would be more than Rs 10,020 crore.
