T-Assembly To Be Dissolved Before..!
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 Aug 2018 9:52 AM GMTTelangana CM KCR is considering all the options to go for Early Polls in the state. Apart from maintaining good relations with Centre for obtaining necessary clearance, He is concentrating on the technical aspects to accomplish his mission successfully.
TRS Supremo wants Early Polls to happen in November/December 2018 or at least before April 2019. What if Election Commission doesn't permit?
Actually, There is no specific time period set in the Constitution to conduct elections after dissolving the Assembly. Supreme Court passed a ruling in Gujarat's case that Elections should be held within six months after dissolving the Assembly. So, KCR's plan will work if T-Assembly is dissolved before September 10th.
As per Article 174 of the Constitution, A gap of six months is certain between any two Assembly Sessions. So, KCR wishes to dissolve Assembly as early as possible to ensure Assembly Polls happen before the Lok Sabha Elections.
