Hyderabadis should remain indoors: KCR

The city received 13 cms rainfall from 4 PM to 10 PM Yesterday. Water Stagnation could be seen at every place & Roads appeared like river. At least, 3 People have died because of the heavy downpour. Schools and Colleges have been shut down on Tuesday.
Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao termed it as an emergency situation and appealed people not to step out of their homes unless it is very important. He cautioned public to be careful as Met Department hints rains gonna continue for the next 48 hours.
CM held a review meeting with Officials at Pragathi Bhavan. He directed Authorities to shift people in low-lying areas to a safe location. Municipal Minister KTR, GHMC Commissioner Janardhan Reddy and City Police Commissioner Mahendar Reddy have been monitoring the situation.
Traffic Police have been appealing people to avoid routes such as Banjara Hills-Punjagutta due to heavy water logging. Manholes and Potholes are gonna be very dangerous at such situations.
