Malaysian Minister Behind KCR's New Secretariat

Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao is determined to built New Secretariat with state-of-the-art infrastructure against all the odds. Vaastu alone isn't the only reason to shift the secretariat.
When Journalist Rajdeep Sardesai quizzed him why he relies so much on vaastu and spending over Rs 100 crore for New Secretariat during the India Today conclave, KCR replied: 'Not Rs 100 crore, We are going to build Secretariat with Rs 250 crore. There are specific reasons for it. I will show you how worse the existing Secretariat has been if you accompany Me. Existing secretariat is in 25 acres. A lot of foreign delegates complained to Me. A Senior Minister from Malaysia asked Me on my face - Why don't you sell this land and built a capital like Putrajaya. Then, I told him that Telugu People are sentimental and we don't sell old secretariat but would surely built a new one'.
Rajdeep Sardesai pointed out about the buzz that Telangana CM behaves like Nizam. He also asked what is the need for New Secretariat when there is New House. KCR shot back: 'I can't help if few mad fellows assume that way. Pragathi Bhavan isn't My House...It's Telangana CM Camp Office-cum-Residence. We built CM Residence, Office & Conference Halls exceptionally well. It's the pride of our state. This structure will remain for the next 100 years. Many future CMs will be staying there. Secretariat is different from CM's residence'.
