KCR signs MoU with Chhattisgarh for 1000 MW

Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chhattigarh Government over supply of 1,000 MW of power.
KCR, Finance Minister Eetela Rajender, Principal Secretary S Narsing Rao has reached Raipur in a special aircraft on Sunday itself. The first phase supply of power will be from Janjgir Thermal Power Station and it is expected to commence from December 2nd. The second phase power supply would be by the end of second fiscal. In each phase, 500 MW of power will be supplied.
The MoU will facilitate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between TSGenco and Chhattisgarh Power Trading Corporation for a period of around 10 years.
