Why KCR Is Upset With Kamma Leaders?
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 July 2019 3:39 PM GMTHas KCR decided to set aside the Kamma leaders from Khammam due to their internal bickering. He feels that leaders like former minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar and MP Nama Nageswara Rao are busy fighting among themselves and the party is getting weakened due to this oneupmanship. So, KCR is reported to have decided to ignore them.
Though there was TRS wave everywhere, Khammam was the lone exception. Here, the TRS could win only one seat. Though the TRS increased its tally by encouraging defections, rampant groupism is hitting at the root of the party. Most of those encouraging groupism are from the Kamma community. During the earlier government, Tummala was brought into the party, made an MLA and later as a minister. But, he too resorted to group politics leading to the dismal performance of the party.
With Tummala losing elections, everyone thought Puvvada Ajay would become a minister. But, that has not happened. Now, KCR wants to give ministry to at least one Kamma leader. So, Ajay's ministerial hopes have revived again. However, TRS sources reveal that out of the five Kamma MLAs, Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi is most likely to be made a minister as he is active in the Kamma caste associations.
