KCR to introduce Smart Card System

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrababu Naidu is determined to to introduce a smart card system in the state. During a meeting with a delegation from Hitachi Solutions, CM asked the company to explore the possibility of coming up with an all-in-one Smard Card.
Smart Card System would replace multiple cards with a single card which could be used as an identity proof, debit card, pre-paid transportation ticket card and also as access control to work places. It will be first implemented in Hyderabad and later the service will be expanded to Warangal, Khammam and Karimnagar.
KCR invited Hitachi India to partner with the state government and set up a manufacturing unit in Telangana. He informed them about the investor-friendly Industrial Policy of the state that will be introduced soon.
