T Harish Rao is a crucial leader in TRS and has been always No.2 in the party. When KCR decided to move to Parliament for achieving Telangana Statehood, He couldn't find anyone better than his Nephew to contest from Siddipet Assembly Constituency. Harish Rao received more majority than KCR in the election. Even then CM late YS Rajasekhar Reddy heaped praises on him for winning the hearts of Siddipet People.
After the formation of TRS Government, KCR offered the crucial Irrigation Portfolio to Harish Rao. However, There are reports that the Irrigation Minister isn't getting prominence in the recent past only because of KTR.
Congress Leader Revanth Reddy comments KCR is planning to send Harish Rao to Parliament with the next election to elevate his Son as CM. 'That's a clear ploy to ensure KTR doesn't face any competition to take over the reins of the Government from KCR. Even Senior TRS Leaders Etela Rajendar and Kadiam Srihari will only get MP Tickets in next elections,' he predicts.
