Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao visited Jahangir Peer dargah at Kothur mandal in Ranga Reddy district to offer 'chaddar' to fulfill his promise for making his dream of statehood come true. He had offered prayers at this dargah while serving as Mahabubnagar MP.

Following the tradition, CM sacrificed 51 goats and had lunch with TRS Lawmakers at a distance of 2 km from the dargah. Ministers, MLAs and MLCs have accepted the feast offered by the party supremo.

KCR sanctioned Rs 50 crore for the development of Jahangir Peer dargah. As part of making it a tourist attraction, He gave an assurance on construction of guest houses in 100 acres near the dargah for the convenience of visitors.

When Local Leaders sought funds for the development of villages and thandas in the region, CM announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh for each village and Rs 5 lakh for each thanda in the Kothur mandal.
