By: Tupaki Desk | 16 May 2014 3:47 PM GMTContrary to the predictions Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhara Rao has won from both the Medak Lok Sabha and the Gajwel Assembly constituencies.
Earlier reports emerged about KCRÂ’s defeat from Assembly constituency by citing the fact of TDPÂ’s outstanding performance in the area in civic poll results. But nothing sort was happened and KCR won two seats comfortably. While KCR won the Medak Lok Sabha seat with a huge margin of 4.70 lakh votes, he got elected from Gajwel Assembly seat by a margin of 19,391 votes.
It may be mentioned that KCR had won both Karimnagar Lok Sabha and Siddipet Assembly segments in 2004 elections. He had retained the Karimnagar and left the Siddipet seat to his nephew T Harish Rao. KCR will retain the assembly seat as he will be heading the TRS government in Telangana. The 60-year-old is set to become the first chief minister of newly created Telangana state as his party was heading for a clear majority in the 119-member assembly.
