Kerala Story Will Not Show Reality,Says Congress MP!

Films based on horrific incidents are creating a political sensation in India. We have seen this with The Kashmir Files. The film which talks about the Kashmir Pandits exodus set the box office on fire. But it became the target of political criticism from the opposition parties and many called the film a propaganda.
Now it appears that the same would be the case with the upcoming film Kerala Story. With just the trailer the film created a sensation and there is a big demand to stop the film as it spreads propaganda. We can understand the situation that Kerala Cm Pinarayi Vijayan also slammed the film and called it propaganda.
Senior Congress leader and Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor who earlier slammed the film said that he is not calling for a ban on the film but what will be shown in the film is not the correct representation of his state Kerala. He tweeted clarifying his views.
Earlier he tweeted "It may be your Kerala story. It is not our Kerala story,". The Kerala wing of Congress is aggressively demanding that the film should be banned and the screening of the film should not be supported in Kerala. His tweet added fuel to the debate that he would also join the fight.
But the MP said that he is not calling for a ban but what the film wants to show is a misrepresentation of the society. "Let me stress, I am not calling for a ban on the film. Freedom of expression does not cease to be valuable just because it can be misused. But Keralites have every right to say loud & clear that this is a misrepresentation of our reality," Shashi Tharoor tweeted.
