Kerala To Provide Free Covid Vaccine For People

Many states in India including Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Madhya Pradesh have already announced free coronavirus vaccines for the people in the states.
Now, Kerala joins the list of states that made vaccine free for the people. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday declared that vaccine will be provided free of cost. He also said the quantity of the vaccine that would be allotted by the Central government is not yet known.
Kerala has been providing free Covid-19 treatment and free post-Covid care since the first case was reported in the state.
The world's largest vaccine maker, Serum Institute of India, is mass producing and stockpiling AstraZeneca's Covishield shot, while other Zydus Cadila and Bharat Biotech are developing their own vaccine candidates.
