Kesineni Nani Daughter to be TDP Vijayawada Mayoral candidate

Andhra Pradesh, which witnessed high-intense elections in the form of Local Body Elections is all set to witness one more crucial poll with the forthcoming Municipal Polls. The elections will be held on the 10th of March.
Now all the eyes are on Vijayawada Municipal elections. Women voters play a crucial role in the upcoming elections. The temple city has over 5 lakh voters in various municipal seats.
Keeping this in mind, the political parties are in search of suitable women candidates to win the Municipal polls. The opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) is also going with the same strategy.
TDP has placed Kesineni Swetha, daughter of senior TDP leader and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani as the Vijayawada Mayor candidate. TDP state president Kinjarapu Atchannaidu announced the same.
Despite facing stiff competition from other aspirants, Swetha was picked as the Mayoral candidate as the TDP candidate for the upcoming Vijayawada Municipal Corporation elections.
Swetha will be contesting from the 11th Division in the forthcoming Vijayawada Municipal Corporation elections. She was filed as the TDP candidate, considering her aggressive campaign.
One more factor that is said to be in favour of Swetha is, her father being a Member of Parliament from the temple city. He is a noted face there and Swetha had also campaigned for her father during the general elections. TDP wants to bank on these conditions.
The Municipal Elections had shed light on the internal issues between the TDP leaders. The Mayor's candidate announcement led to disputes among the leaders. Several leaders have opposed the decision reportedly.
