YCP MP Candidate Potluri Vara Prasad stirred a controversy by saying Special Category Status is a boring subject. He even refused to make any comments on such a crucial subject related to Andhra Pradesh.
TDP MP Candidate Kesineni Nani dared to call PVP an international criminal and financial fraud who floated several fake companies. He went on to say PVP lacked knowledge on people's issues to be qualified enough to contest for an MP Seat.
On the other hand, CPI Ramakrishna demanded YS Jaganmohan Reddy to withdraw his decision to field PVP as YCP Candidate for Vijayawada Lok Sabha seat if he is really committed to Special Category Status.
PVP clarified his comments were used out of context and blown out of proportion. Still, Political Opponents kept criticizing the comments on Special Status to irk the Main Opposition.
