Telugu Desam Party extended support to the abrogation of Article 370. However, One of its three MPs isn't okay with the move of Centre to bifurcate J&K and make it into a Union Territory.
Kesineni Nani opined, 'Union Government should have allowed Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and Ghulam Nabi Azad to express their views on behalf of Kashmiris. Doing it without taking the people of J&K into confidence is unacceptable. 5 years ago, Centre went against the wishes of Andhra People to divide the state. Kashmir is a heaven on earth. Only time will tell whether the decision would benefit Kashmir and the country as a whole'.
PVP, on the other hand, felt the Mood of the Nation was reflected in Parliament with the passage of bills pertaining to J&K.
