Amid this tough situation, the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met today in Tadepalli to discuss several key issues.
The state government has decided to give Rs 500 as a relief amount for every victim who got affected by the Nivar cyclone in the state. The affected farmers will also be receiving compensation by December this year.
Due to the Nivar Cyclone, around 30,000 hectares of Agricultural lands and 1300 hectares of Horticultural crops were lost. The government has called her supportive measures.
Andhra Pradesh Minister of Agriculture and Cooperation Kurasala Kannababu who addressed the media after the Cabinet meeting rubbished all the rumours of reducing the Polavarm project height.
The Minister appealed to the public to not believe such rumours and said the height of the Polavaram project will not be reduced by at least one meter.
Talking further, Kannababu said, the Cabinet has decided to pay the Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees. The DA has not been paid since 2018 July 1. All the dues will be paid
