It's not a victory of BJP: Khushbu

Congress Official Spokesperson Khushbu alleged BJP is trying to claim credit for any victory even if it's the Supreme Court verdict on the Triple Talaq. 'SC verdict on Triple Talaq is a victory of Indian Women, not that of BJP's,' she opined.
The Senior Actress pointed out Supreme Court has disapproved Triple Talaq but not the practice of divorce. She stressed Personal Law as per Article 25 of the constitution is still implemented in the country.
Centre claimed credit for Triple Talaq as it moved a petition against the practice after Shayara Bano, a victim, approached Supreme Court seeking declaration of it as illegal. After the verdict, BJP Chief Amit Shah credited PM Modi and his Government for standing in support of Muslim Women. Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad declared, 'This his Modi Government, not Rajiv Gandhi' post the judgement. Hence, Congress Leaders got miffed and began targeting BJP for claiming credit.
