Officials reluctant to renew Khushbu's Passport

The Regional Passpost Office in Chennai refused to renew or issue a new passport for Actress-cum-Politician Khushbu citing the three criminal cases filed against her. As a result, The Firebrand Leader moved Madras High Court seeking directions to the Passport Officials to issue a new passport.
Khushbu claimed her passport is valid till 2022. She just need a new book as all of the pages in her passport were stamped because of her frequent air travels. The 'Stalin' Actress informed the Court that she neither applied for a fresh passport nor sought renewal. She now wants a new book which allows fresh stamping.
However, Passport Seva Kendra located at Aminjikarai made it clear Khushbu has to obtain a fresh passport just alike in the case of renewal as exiting rules doesn't permit attachment of additional pages once the pages were full.
Three Criminal Cases were filed against Khushbu during 2011 Tamil Nadu Assembly Polls at Andipatti, PC Patti and Natham for violation of rules.
