Kidambi Srikanth Is Now World No 1

Indian badminton champ Kidambi Srikanth created history Today. He is being ranked Number 1 in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWH) rankings. He replaced Denmark shuttler Victor Axelsen to achieve this feat.
In the ongoing CommonWealth Games, Kidambi Srikanth made it to the final eight by defeating Sri Lanka's Niluka Karunaratne in straight sets (21-10, 21-10). He will now be eyeing the Semi Final berth.
Srikanth was also part of the Indian Team which won Gold in Mixed Doubles badminton event in CommonWealth Games.
Among the Nations which participated in the CommonWealth Games 2018, India stood at third position in the medal tally. There are 12 Gold, 5 Silver and 8 Bronze in the 25 Medals won so far.
