Government of Puducherry has come up with an innovative step to create awareness among the people about keeping the surroundings clean and tidy. The State Government is now keen on putting an end to open defecation and using every opportunity in the vicinity for achieving the targets.
To make the Union Territory open defecation free by October this year, Puducherry Government has been using the craze of Rajinikanth in the best possible manner. Free Tickets of July 22nd release 'Kabali' were offered for free to those households who would built toilets. 'Collector in #pondicherry is using gift of tickets of this film as incentive for use of Public Services!Its Working!,' tweets Lt Governor of Puducherry, Kiran Bedi.
According to District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), About 45,403 households in Puducherry and Karaikal don't have toilets. #SwachhPuducherry!
