The Congress managed a coup of sorts when it managed to bring out former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy out of his hibernation and made him join the Congress. One expected him to be very active in AP and turn around the Congress fortunes in the state. But, where is Kiran Kumar Reddy these days?
The elections are round the corner and Rahul Gandhi is visiting the state as often as he can. After all, AP had been a Congress citadel for decades and the party wants to revive and reinvent itself here. But, it needs a face and Kiran Kumar Reddy would be that face. But, he seems to be missing in action.
After joining the party and bringing some former Congressmen into the party, he has again fallen silent. Recently, senior Congress leaders like Kotla and Killi Kruparani have left the party for greener pastures. But, Kiran Kumar is nowhere to be seen. There are doubts as to whether he will contest the elections this time or not.
