Kiran Kumar Reddy Wears Saffron Shawl!

For the past few days, reports are doing rounds that former Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy would join the Bharatiya Janata Party. Making the reports true he joined the party fold today in the presence of Pralhad Joshi, Arun Singh, and Laxman. They welcomed him to the party with a saffron shawl.
After Kiran Kumar Reddy joined the BJP fold, two questions popped up. The first one is what would the stand of him be as far as the state is concerned. The second question is whether the party leadership gives him enough space given his stature.
People remember him for his strong pro-Andhra Pradesh stand. When he was the Chief Minister, there are allegations against him that he dealt with the Telangana protests with an iron fist and gave his best to see that the state remains undivided. He got angry with the state bifurcation and resigned from the Congress party.
Kiran Kumar Reddy even floated a party named Jai Samaikyandhra Party. He went to elections with the promise of a combined state. But voters did not support the party and it lost the elections cheaply. This shows his stand on Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh is yet to get a few bifurcation promises like special status and other things. The issues with Telangana are also pending and things are going on. We have to wait and see what Kiran Kumar Reddy would do. BJP already made it clear that there is no chance of special status. So it will be interesting to know what Kiran Kumar Reddy does.
If Kiran Kumar Reddy is given a free hand then it would be a big opportunity for the party in Andhra Pradesh, He is the popular face in the state, and his pro-Andhra Pradesh ideology would also benefit the party if used widely.
Kiran Kumar Reddy recently resigned from Congress and is not active in politics. So many felt that he might have taken retirement and is taking rest. But many did not expect him to do this.
After joining the BJP, Kiran Kumar Reddy made some interesting comments. Recalling his association with Congress, he said that his family has a long association with the party and he did not think that he would leave Congress one day. On the opportunity, he blasted the leadership.
Blaming the wrong decisions taken by Congress for the party's decline in one after the other state, Kiran Kumar Reddy said that people lost hope in Congress and are looking at the BJP. He also added that BJP has a good vision to develop the nation.
