Know Who Is The Biggest Gainer In GHMC Elections?
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Dec 2020 4:10 AM GMTWho will be the biggest gainers in the GHMC elections? If the exit polls by various organisations is any indication, the biggest gainer in the GHMC election would not be the TRS, but BJP and the MIM. The surveys point out that while TRS may still emerge as the largest single party and might even have its mayor, its vote percentage will fall.
Some surveys claim that the TRS could get up to 38 per cent votes. The BJP will get up to 32 per cent votes. This means, the BJP would be just six percentage points behind the TRS and this is a major warning signal for the TRS, which had won 45.6 per cent votes in the 2018 assembly elections. The BJP, the exit surveys predict, will gain significantly in voting percentage.
In terms of strike rate, it would be the MIM which will gain most. The MIM has contested just 51 seats and as per the exit polls, it could win up to 40 seats. Thus, it's success rate is the biggest and will be better than the ruling TRS. Though the TRS might still emerge as the largest party, it might lose considerably in terms of both votes and seats.
