Prof Kodandaram holds Deeksha at his Home
By: Tupaki Desk | 29 Dec 2016 12:24 PM GMTTelangana JAC Chairman Prof.Kodandaram kept opposing anti-people policies of TRS Government since the past two years. He now intensified the attack on State Government after it brought new Land Acquisition Act to acquire lands from farmers of submerged villages of Mallannasagar project.
Prof.Kodandaram decided to organize deeksha along with villagers who lost their lands due to Mallannasagar project. However, Police Department denied permission for deeksha. Even T-JAC Members coming from all the districts have been taken into preventive custody.
Much to the shock of TRS Government, Prof.Kodandaram took up deeksha at his residence itself in protest against the misuse of power by the Government. He pledged to continue fight for justice till changed were made to the new land acquisition act so that people will be paid good compensation. Huge number of police force has been deployed around Kodandaram's House and Leaders weren't allowed to meet him. This situation is creating a tense environment.
On the other hand, Congress, TDP and CPM boycotted Assembly sessions on Thursday complaining TRS Government isn't taking them into confidence even after objections were raised over land acquisition bill. Opposition Parties accused Speaker of being partial to State Government.
