Kodandaram Is A Lonely Man
X
He was till recently the most respectable professor and leader in Telangana and spearheaded the Telangana movement. But, within six years of achieving Telangana state, he is a nobody. Gne is the respect he commanded and the response he elicited. Today, is a lonely figure in the fast changing political scenario in Telangana.

Prof Kodandaram, who led the Telangana Joint Action Committee and rivaled KCR in popularity, is today a lonely man with barely anyone supporting him. The Congress, with which he had an electoral understanding in the 2018 elections, has told him pointblank that it is not going to support him for the Graduate constituency MLC elections from Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda constituency. The Congress has told him that it has its own candidates to work for.

Then he pinned his hopes on the Left Parties because of his ideological proximity. Pro. Kodandaram has always been a supporter of the ultra Left politics and felt the CPI and the CPM would back him. But, the left parties have indicated to him that they would not support him, but that they would also put up their own candidates. If this is the case, he may not even get the minimum votes in the elections.

Now, the once-mighty leader may not even have a face saver in the elections.
