Hyd As India's 2nd Capital Benefits Andhra
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Jan 2018 11:11 AM GMTAt the India Today conclave, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao told his Government would welcome if Hyderabad becomes the second capital of the country.
However, Telangana JAC Chairman Prof.Kodandaram firmly opposed this proposal. He believes any such development would eventually benefit Andhra and hurts the interests of Telangana.
Kodandaram recalls Sri Krishna Committee considered the proposal to make Hyderabad second capital of India during Telangana Movement but it was rejected by Telanganites. He also pointed out TRS had then opposed the same proposal saying it's a conspiracy to deny Telangana Statehood. 'As he has become CM now, KCR is speaking in favour of the proposal that benefits Andhra People. Hyderabad must remain as capital of Telangana alone,' he stressed.
The Professor slammed TRS Government for sidelining those who fought for Telangana and offering priority to traitors. He accused the State Government of not bothering to address the plight of farmers who are unable to get good price for farm produce.
