Running a movement is different. But, doing politics is a different ballgame. In movements, you have long term aims. But, in politics, you need to change your stance some times. You need to modify your stand sometimes. This transition is not so easy. Prof Kodandaram must be learning this lesson very heard.
Those close to him say that Kodandaram is finding handling politics very difficult. He is said to be going through lot of mental turmoil. Fellow-travelling with Chandrababu Naidu, whom he opposed in no uncertain terms and whose political philosophy he hates to the core, is not so easy. At the same time, working in Mahakutami too is not so easy. On the other hand, KCR is doing everything he can to bring Prof Kodandaram out of the Maha Kutami and deal a bodily blow to the Congress-led alliance.
Those close to Kodandaram say that though he is slightly at ease in handling the Congress, he is finding working with the TDP a real big problem. He cannot come out of the Praja Kutami as it would benefit KCR and strengthen the TRS. So, keeping in view the commitment given to Rahul Gandhi, Kodandaram is continuing in the Kutami with great difficult. He is finding Chandrababu Naidu a strange bedfellow. He is unable to work with him. At the same time, he cannot avoid being with Chandrababu. Strange predicament indeed for him.
