Why AP Speaker Kodela apologized to all Women?

AP Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad stirred a controversy by commenting that Women will have to deal with harassment and discrimination if they step out of their homes. He even dared to advise the Women to restrict their role to the job of Home Maker. Following severe backlash, Kodela withdraw his remarks and apologized to all the women. He claimed that first's of its kind event like National Women's Parliament is being held in Vijayawada out of respect for Women.
Women's Organizations breathed fire on AP Government for not extending the invitation of National Women's Parliament to them despite fighting for Women Empowerment for several years. They accused Chandrababu Naidu of making the State Government into an Event Management Company. On the other hand, The resolution seeking 33% reservation for Women, New Law to curb crime against Women and Prohibition on liquor in the Country has been passed.
PM Narendra Modi & Buddhist spiritual leader Dalai Lama will be taking part in the inauguration of National Women's Parliament themed as 'Empowering Women - Strengthening Democracy'. Issues such as malnutrition, women empowerment, sexual harassment, gender-based discrimination and many more will be discussed during the 3-day conference.
